The Super Bowl 2010 MVP has been announced, and it suprised nobody that the winner was Drew Brees, the Quarterback of the New Orleans Saints and the architect of their thrilling victory today in the Super Bowl.

Brees has played amazingly well all season, but the win in the final game of the NFL season will stick in the minds of the millions and millions of fans who watched him defeat his great rival Peyton Manning, the Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback.

Super Bowl 2010 MVP

The New Orleans Saints are truly ‘America’s Team’, after languishing in the background of the NFL for the past twenty years and being situated in the ravaged capital of Louisiana – and everyone likes a comeback.

The match will go down in history as one of the most exciting – with back and forth scoring and an end with a fitting twist. It was Peyton Manning, the Colt’s QB who threw the game winning pass – an interception which was returned 73 yards for a touchdown.

Manning will be bitterly disappointed, but many people believe that it was just not his day – and the feelgood story that will cover all of the newspapers tomorrow is that it was Drew Brees, not Manning, who was crowned the Super Bowl 2010 MVP.
