With the high volume of bets expected to be made just before game time, it is quite possible that the betting line may shift again in response to demand.

Super Bowl XLIV features two of the NFL’s most potent offenses, the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts. Behind their respective all-pro quarterbacks, both teams were able to steamroll defenses and put up big numbers all year long. In addition, both teams boast stout veteran defenses capable of shutting down some of the best in the NFL.

For Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, the game will be a chance to play against the team he rooted for throughout his childhood while his father, Archie Manning, played there. In addition, Manning will be playing in the same stadium that he won the Super Bowl in three years ago against the Chicago Bears.

For the past week, all eyes have been on Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney, who tore a ligament in his ankle during the AFC Championship game. Freeney has been rehabbing his ankle all week and hopes to play, although there is no indication that he will be at full strength.
