Starcraft II Midnight Launch

The StarCraft II midnight launch date is almost upon us and Blizzard has emailed everyone ever confirming that war will be coming at 00:01 on the 27th of July. There have been so many delays regarding the game that now the StarCraft II midnight launch date is days away gamers are bursting to get their hands on it. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will be released simultaneously worldwide and is expected to be one of the Blizzard’s most popular titles of all time.

Recently the Wall Street Journal misquoted Blizzard stating that StarCraft II had cost $100 million to make but it turns out that this is the amount invested into World of Warcraft. Clearly that much money seems insane to spend on developing on a game but given Warcraft had 11 million paying subscribers at on point, they make up their investment in a mere month.

Blizzard said that special launch events will happen across the globe and gamers are permitted to start queuing on the 26th. As always, this is a first come first served event and so if you’re one of those gamers eager to engage in intergalatic warfare head on down to a selected venue.

Given the StarCraft II midnight launch is so anticipated gamers may need to go out of their way to secure a copy and if you cannot make it to one of these midnight launch centers, copies will also be released at normal times on the 27th of July.
