Spanish politician's face was used for Bin Laden image
A Spanish politician has said he would fear going to the USA after he found that Americans had use parts of his face in a photo mock-up of Osama Bin Laden, used for a recent campaign to show how the Al Qaeda leader may look with aging.
Gaspar Llamazares noticed some similarities with the new ‘old Bin Laden’ photos when he saw the news story yesterday about how authorities had attempted to ‘age’ Bin Laden digitally, and when he complained to the US government he was even more shocked when they confirmed the digital artist had used several parts of his face – his forehead, hair and jaw-line – in the new picture.

The politician said that using someone else’s face to characterize a wanted terrorist was ‘shameless’.
The USA had previously stated that they had been using ‘cutting-edge’ technology to produce these artist’s impressions of the on-the-run terrorist leader, but the my Llamazares pointed out that using a Spaniards photograph in order to show what a Saudi looks like in the future showed the low level of American intelligence.
The USA claimed any similarity between the two was inadvertent and unintentional, although they did confirm that the artist had used some parts of a photo he had ‘found on the internet’.
