Shaun White made history today in the 2010 Winter Olympics as he won back-to-back gold medals in the men’s halfpipe competition. Shaun White has done what no other person in sports history has ever done: a Double McTwist 1260.
Shaun White’s breakthrough performance in the Winter Olympics 2010 will not soon be forgotten. With a score of 48.4 on his second run he deserved his gold medal. Sean White thrilled crowds and likely himself too as he pulled off his newest signature move, the Double McTwist 1260.

“I just felt like I didn’t come all the way to Vancouver not to pull out the big guns,” said White after scoring a 48.4 on his second run of the Winter Olympics 2010. “I put down the tricks I’ve worked so hard on. It was the savvy thing to do. Saucy. Keep it weird.”
We can only imagine the pressure that the other competitors felt as they tried to follow up Shaun White’s double McTwist stunt.
“My coach said at the top, ‘Don’t do this unless you’re going to stomp it,’ ” White said. Well, from the looks of it in the videos circulating like wildfire on the internet right now, he did just that. Shaun White says he didn’t pull off the trick perfectly, but it was good enough to take the gold and wow crowds in the Winter Olympics 2010.
