The NBA Rookie Challenge game has just finished, and it was an exciting spectacle full of dunks and classy shots. The winners were the Rookie team, who snapped a seven year losing streak by beating the Sophomore team 140-128.

Three point shooting in the NBA Rookie game was some of the worst we’ve seen for many years, however there were plenty of dunks and action to keep the fans in the arena happy.

The NBA Rookie game features talent from all over the NBA – with first year players facing off against established, second year stars.

The Rookie Game will feature a raft of players who are already big names in their respective teams. The Rookie team has a lot of talent – here are some of their players: Pistons’ Jonas Jerebko, the Kings’ Casspi, Bulls’ Taj Gibson, the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry, the Milwaukee Bucks’ Brandon Jennings and the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Jonny Flynn. Oklahoma City Thunder’s James Harden, the San Antonio Spurs’ DeJuan Blair and the Sacramento Kings’ Tyreke Evans also feature in the group.

The Sophomore team features Chicago’s point guard Derrick Rose, Miami Heat’s Michael Beasley, Los Angeles Clipper Eric Gordon, New York’s Danilo Gallinari, Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook, the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Kevin Love, the New Jersey Nets’ Brook Lopez, and Marc Gasol and O.J. Mayo of the Memphis Grizzlies are the full lineup.
