Bing, their new(ish) search engine has been around for a while – and people have been reporting some steady income streams from the new player on the block. Bing’s PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising model has shown that people don’t need to simply limit themselves to using Google to get people to their blogs – and the folks at Redmond added that eventually Bing would not only be profitable, but would help many people make money online.

Microsoft knows about investment for the future – they have spent as much as $5 billion in developing and marketing their Bing search engine, but they believe that they will be able to reverse the loss-making trend in the near future, thanks in part to an advertising partnership with Yahoo!.

Google has around two-thirds of the search engine market in the USA, with Yahoo in second position on 17%. Bing claims around 11% of the market.
