LeBron James Twitter
The whole world has been following LeBron’s every move for the past couple of months in hopes of deciphering which team he will be headed to during the NBA free agency period. LeBron James has been so coy and mysterious in his actions and comments that even those close to him have been left totally clueless as to King James’ next destination.
With anticipation nearing a climax, Lebron James has taken control of his public relations by making a late appearance to the Twitter cyberworld. The LeBron James Twitter account was created during a time where the whole world’s attention is on him – what better time to do so than just prior to making the most anticipated sports decision…ever.
Lebron James Twitter

It all began on July 1st 2010 – the moment that LeBron James officially became a free agent, and approachable to NBA team executives. In fact, July 2010 has been the talk of the basketball word for years now and LeBron didn’t mind reveling in the spotlight for the past year or two . It all intensified over the past several weeks with the Lebron James Larry King interview, then the series of high profile team visits, and now just when everything is coming to an end – LeBron took this last opportunity to build upon his brand. This is all just another stepping stone for a global icon who has clearly stated that he wants to become the first sports billionaire.
How did this all happen? It was in fact CP3, out of all people, that made LeBron James join Twitter today after teasing of a ‘breaking news ‘ earlier in the day.
Chris Paul had spent the previous couple of days with LeBron at the LBJ basketball camp and so it wasn’t a stretch to think that we might finally find out where the two-time MVP would be playing his basketball next year. Chris Paul, the New Orleans All-Star point guard explained through a Tweet at noon Eastern Time on July 6:
Couldn’t convince him to tell me which team he’s goin to but convinced him to join twitter lol … my brother from another mother

As of publication – LeBron James already had amassed over a 100 thousand Twitter followers and growing by thousands per minute – already passing his friend Chris Paul in that regard. If you’re looking for clues to where he’s heading, it will be hard to find. He does state that he is the King of Akron – perhaps a small hint that he will be staying at home in Cleveland. Nothings for sure, and for now we will all need to add LeBron James’ Twitter account to our friends list to hear what will be the decision that will shape the NBA tapestry for years to come.
