Singer Keyshia Cole was rushed to the hospital on Thursday night, apparently going into labor with a child.

Cole’s reported labor made her fiancee, Daniel Gibson of the Cleveland Cavaliers, late for his game with the Miami Heat. Gibson, or “Boobie” as he is known colloquially, eventually made it to the game against the Heat and had a quiet evening. In the fourth quarter, he had 5 points on 5 free throws in about 12 minutes of action.

Keyshia Cole gained instant notoriety in 2004 with her hit single “I Changed My Mind,” featuring Kanye West. Cole’s next mega-hit, “Let it Go,” sampled the tune from massive hip hop classic “Juicy” (which sampled the tune from the 1970′s funk classic “Juicy Fruit”). The song was the biggest hit off of her platinum selling second album, Just Like You, released in 2007. Her most recent album, A Different Me, featured artists including Mary J. Blige and 2Pac.

Cole was also the subject of a reality show on Black Entertainment Television (BET) called Keyshia Cole: The Way it Is. The show aired for three seasons, and helped promote her third album.

Born and raised in Oakland, California, Cole moved to Los Angeles when she was 18 to pursue a career in the music business.
