Kathryn Bigelow who had won numerous awards at the BAFTA awards several weeks ago, again had the upper at the 82nd Academy Awards against a host of movies with much bigger budgets.

One of the side stories of this years Oscars, was between the battle between former husband and wife – James Cameron of Avatar versus Kathryn Bigelow of The Hurt Locker.

Kathryn Bigelow destroyed her ex-husband at the 2010 Oscars with wins in the two most important categories – best picture as well as best director.

James Cameron will be upset, but his record breaking box office performance will be untouched for quite a while.
