An eight-year-old boy by the name of Michael Jude has been found dead and his mother left clinging to life in a $1,000 per night luxury suite at a New York hotel.

Police reports state that the mother, who is a wealthy Manhattan socialite by the name of Gigi Jordan, tried to commit suicide following the alleged attempted murder of her son.

New York City’s luxury Peninsula hotel was the site of the failed murder attempt which according to reports stemmed over marital troubles.

The 49 year old socialite, Gigi Jordan, was found in Room 1154 of the hotel located on Fifth Avenue, and police accounts tell us she was “babbling incoherently” when she was captured. Her son Michael Jude was lying on the floor nearby, face up and foaming at the mouth, and was found dead of an apparent overdose. The scene of the crime had prescription medication as well as some “notes” scattered around the room.

Gigi Jordan was taken to Bellevue Hospital in a critical condition due to consuming some of the pills scattered around the room.

Gigi Jordan has been arrested and charges against her are pending.
