Football: International Club Friendlies August 1

At number 10, we have a German affair with two of the top teams in the Bundesliga going at it. Kickoff is at 16:45 CET for those interested to watch Hamburger SV vs FC Cologne.

As the number 9 top game to watch: Schalke vs Bayern Munich. Live stream online for this match starts at 18:35 CET. These might be the top two teams in the German league, and with Schalke adding Raul into the mix, they will feel more confident than ever capturing that elusive title.

Number 8 top game to watch: Monchengladbach vs Liverpool. Live stream online kickoff is at 14:30CET. Liverpool didn’t struggle too much in their first match under their new manager in the week for their Europa League qualifying, but today should be a real test for the Reds.

The number 7 top game to watch: Benfica vs Aston Villa. Live stream online for this one begins at 22:15 (also the last match of the day). Neither side has made too much noise in the past several years, but they are certainly two teams who are always positioned as dark horses so it will be interesting to see what kind of changes they have made for the 2010-2011 season.

With the number 6 top game to watch: PSG vs AS Roma. Live streaming online of this match is at 19:00 CET. Just like the match mentioned above, these two are one or two key players away from being top class European teams, and we will get to see today their new transfers and how dangerous of a team they can be in the season ahead.

The number 3 match might surprise some, but we feel like fans should watch Bordeaux vs FC Porto. Live stream online for this one is at 16:45 and while these aren’t the top two teams in football, we have a feeling the style of play of these two teams will create lots of chances and plenty of goals.

At number 2, we have a match that can be classified as must-watch: Arsenal vs Celtic. Live stream online for this British classic is at 17:20 CET and promises to be a football delight. Both teams are coming off draws in the previous days’ friendlies and will be hoping for a win to bolster some confidence into their side.

And with the top match of the day we recommend you watch: AC Milan vs Lyon. Live stream online is at 15:00 and this one needs no introduction. Both are Champions League heavyweights, but results in the last few seasons have not been to their favor and with new hope they have remodeled their respective teams. Will this be the year for either of these two teams to crawl back into the European elite? We shall find out.

As always, we will have all the scores, results, highlights, and more after the August 1 football friendlies are said and done with.
