The points festival that many analysts predicted has not materialised, instead being replaced by some long drives and gritty defence. The Colts scored first with a field goal from Stover, and followed it up with a touchdown with Manning finding Garcon. It could have been an avalanche of points – but some solid stops by New Orleans stifled Manning from that point on.

New Orleans came extremely close to a touchdown of their own, having a number of plays in the second quarter in the red-zone of the Colts, but they couldn’t put the ball across the line.

New Orleans ended the half with a strong drive following a Colts punt, and with just 11 seconds left they kicked a field goal to pull within four of the Colts.
