Cool Valentine's Day Gifts for Women
If you’re reading an article about cool Valentines Day Gifts for Women, you’re probably empty handed and scared about disappointing the lady in your life. Shopping for your wife or girlfriend can often seem like a tall order, but it’s best not to overthink it.
On Valentines Day, women want things that show that you care about them and that you’re thinking about them (that or diamonds).
Cool Valentine’s Day Gifts for Women
Classic Valentines gifts for women include a box of chocolates (See’s Candies are always a hit) and a dozen roses (don’t go for white roses or pink roses to be different; stick with red unless she’s a goth, in which case black roses are the only reasonable option).
However, some women find chocolates and roses to be a bit of an afterthought – more of an animal mating ritual than a gift. If your girlfriend falls into this category, consider one of these other gifts:
1. A Massage or Spa Treatment. While a trip to the spa can be a bit expensive, you can be almost entirely sure that she will really appreciate it. Try to make sure she doesn’t get the masseuse who’s also a male model, though, or you’ll never hear the end of it.
2. A Framed Photo of the Two of You. Here’s a thoughtful Valentines Day gift that shows her you care about your relationship. Just make sure she doesn’t think she looks ugly in the photo.
3. Perfume. As long as you’re buying her favorite fragrance, perfume can make a great Valentine’s Day gift for your girlfriend or wife. It might be tempting to include the movie “Perfume” in the gift, but it’s a little terrifying for Valentine’s night.
4. Tickets to see her favorite band. As painful as it may be for you, she would probably love to go with you to see her favorite band. If her favorite band makes you sick to your stomach, you could buy tickets to a play instead.
5. DVD’s of her favorite movies. If you’re not averse to watching them again, consider buying a few of her favorite movies on DVD. This probably means you’ll need to watch a romantic comedy or three, but what else is new?
Some guys will tell you that a scarf, bracelet, necklace or watch can make a nice Valentines gift for a woman, but you never know whether she’ll dig the style or not. Unless you’re ponying up for an expensive item, it’s normally best to stay away from these items. Worst case scenario: She dislikes it but wears it anyways and then holds a grudge against you over it.
Finally, remember that if she doesn’t like your gift, you can always make it up to her in other ways after your candle-lit dinner – remember, not all last minute Valentine’s Day Gifts for Women have to be bought!
