Boston Marathon 2010 results

The Boston Marathon 2010 results are detailed here for the top twenty elite athletes in both the men’s and women’s competition. Today’s (Monday 18th April 2010) race saw the Kenyan Robert Cheruiyot win with a course record time of 2 hours, 5 minutes and 52 seconds. The women’s race was won by the Ethiopian Teyba Erkesso with a time of 2 hours 26 minutes 11 seconds.

The highest placed American in the men’s field was Ryan Hall with a time of 2:08:41. He’ll doubtless be delighted with his finishing position and time. He was followed in by fifth placed Meb Keflezighi from the USA who’ll also be happy with his performance. The highest placed American athlete in the women’s field was Paige Higgins (USA) with a time of 2:36:00.

The Boston Marathon has been running since 1897 and is normally run on Patriot’s Day (the third Monday in April). It is the oldest annual city marathon competition and always attracts the best runners from all over the world.
