Fresh off announcing that its earnings rose by an astronomical 50% compared with last year, Apple will unveil its much-anticipated Tablet device on January 27th, 2010, tomorrow.

According to Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who helped create the company in the 1980′s and then revitalize it over the last decade, the Tablet is “the most important thing” that he has ever done. Jobs recently released this slightly toned down statement about the Tablet:

“The new products we are planning to release this year are very strong, starting this week with a major new product that we’re really excited about.”

The Tablet, dubbed the “iPad” by some, will function like a very large iPod Touch or iPhone. It will feature a massive touch-screen that will be able to perform a variety of functions with the stroke of a finger. In addition, the Tablet figures to be thinner than any laptop ever created. Furthermore, the Tablet will dwarf the iPhone, looking more like an instrument from Avatar or Star Trek than a cell phone or a laptop.

Over the first part of the first quarter of 2010, Apple has posted revenue of $3.38 billion, up from $2.26 billion at the same time in 2009. The company has sold some 8.7 million iPhones and 3.36 million iMacs during the first quarter alone. Can the news get any better for Jobs and company?
