Antifreeze Murderer Found Dead In Prison

Atlanta, GA, United States (AHN) – Julia Lynn Womack Turner, the woman convicted in 2007 of poisoning both her husband and boyfriend with antifreeze, died Monday in a Georgia prison.

Officials reported Turner, 42, was found around 6:55 a.m. unresponsive in her cell. Medical personnel responded but were unable to revive her, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections.

The cause of death is being investigated. Turner was serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole in the Metro State Prison for women in Atlanta.

According to reports, Turner was convicted of killing her police officer husband Glenn Turner in 1995 by antifreeze poisoning, and of murdering her firefighter boyfriend Randy Thompson in 2001 using the same method.

Turner received more than $150,000 in benefits after her husband’s death and about $36,000 after the death of Thompson.
