So who won American Idol 2010 in season 9? Lee DeWyze is the new American Idol in the Season 9 Finale. He came into Wednesday’s “American Idol” finale with a narrow voting gap and made sure to impress in his penultimate American Idol Finale song.
It was reported that if DeWyze wins the 2010 Ameican Idol Season 9 Finale, his first single would be “Beautiful Day”.
One memorable American Idol 2010 Season 9 Finale highlights was the emotional departure of Simon Cowell. Ryan Seacrest had some nice final words for him: “We really are going to miss you. You are a dear friend and we wouldn’t be here without you”.

yes Crystal should have won, on pure raw talent and she has outshone all the others consistently. I love Lee, but the same as 2009 when Adam should have won, now Crystal is denied as well. However also as Adam she will shine as someone that talented could not be overlooked by the music industry!

It is now official, I have had it with American Idol. I have no respect for a show that is not about rewarding talent, but is merely a merry trip for teenybopper fans who want to vote for their “image” of what their Idol should seem to be. I am a Crystal fan, but this is not about sour grapes. If she had lost to someone with a truly good voice it would have been different. That is not the case at all as week after week with maybe only a couple of exceptions Crystal blew away all of the competition. The kids are not the only ones to blame however. When it looked as though middle into the final 12 that she really had no competition the judges began pimping Lee like crazy praising him for his effort. And Lee certainly did give it all he had every week, I’ll give him that, but his voice, pitchy at best most of the season is no match for Crystal’s. The judges, also after Crystal had obviously Zoomed to the front of the pack began to critize her when she didn’t produce a spectacular performance each ensuing time. Lines like it was O.K. but not your best performance came spewing out of the judges mouths even when her voice and songs were pitch perfect. At about that same time they began the building up of Lee, as I said praising him for his enthusiasm even as he was frequently singing off key. It probably doesn’t matter that much in the long run who actually wins. Both will receive lucrative contracts, and with the exposure Crystal got, and the feeling amongst her fans that she was ripped off her base will actually become more solidified, especially after that last strong performance on the final night. She will sell plenty of cd’s, and will pack the concerts. My only hope is that she stays true to her roots and doesn’t let some slick L.A. type record producer talk her into putting out pop shlock-techno crap or whatever you want to ga-ga call it, although if she had totally changed her image, wore cute little dresses, and performed the techno-crap she ironically might have won. Praises to Crystal for sticking to her roots. Keep it up. I’ve downloaded all of her songs, and eagerly await her first cd.

Well, I think Crystal should have won; but have to admit, that these past few weeks – she was NOT the shining star she was at the beginning. Lee, however, started to shine, and I think Simon sealed the deal with his pick last week of Hallelujah.

I think Crystal was ripped off but I’m not surprised. AI loves insipid guys like Kris and Lee. The true winner last year was Adam Lambert and the true winner this year is Crystal – for pure originality, talent and always being true to themselves. Lee can take the crown for all I care – and I hate his oh so smug ‘i’ve got it in the bag’ look while Simon kept winking at him. This show has deteriorated into crap and I for one will not be watching it any more. Though I will continue to follow Adam and Crystal’s climbs to the top while karaoke Lee will just get obliterated in a haze of anonymity.

Ya, Crystal definitely should have won. Come on let’s face it, Lee may have improved from where he started but did not even come close to the same end point as Crystal. Unlike Lee Crystal nailed all the songs on the final night and typically the few nights she was shaky was because she tried something completely different to mix things up. I now truly believe that Idol is fixed, Lee won because he is not as talented and needed more help to succeed, Crystal will have no problem without the title. Deja vu (Adam and Chris).

Lee was okay, but as talent goes, nowhere here the talent of Crystal. I have always thought Idols was rigged, and now I truly believe it! There were at least two others in the last 10 that should have been in the final! Lee sang and was off key a few times…is that talent???? No.

Crystal should have won,she has an amazing voice and talent,can’t believe she didn’t win.Lee was at best so so and often out of tune.Don’t think i will ever watch American Idol again,What is wrong with you America,did you all really vote for Lee,or was it a fix.

I congragulate Lee for winning, but the truth is that Crustal should have won the 2010 American Idol title. she deserved being the winner, but she was robbed as simple as that!!!

American Idol has lost its credibility. Two years in succession it has been the wrong contestant who has won the title. It only goes to prove that the votes are not for the talens but for their favourite esp the young girls

In my opinion, Crystal Bowersox was the better singer and should have actually won American Idol. I think that she was ripped off. Probably around 65% of Lee’s votes were only because teenage girls think he is so cute. I think the vocal should matter more than the looks of the winner, who was most likely Crystal. American Idol is a singing contest, not a contest to see who gets more votes because people think they are good looking. Crystal was beautiful in my opinion. They really fixed up her teeth, but I’m not very fond of the dreadlocks. But as I stated earlier, the show is about vocals, not looks. So, Crystal is probably the American Idol, cause to those teenage girls voted for Lee because of his looks. Crystal should have won. If you read this Crystal (which you sadly probably won’t) I will buy all of your records and support you all the way through music career. I <3 MAMA SOX!!!!!!!!!

No matter what other people says, I never been in my Life as crazy to keep on following every week American Idol but only this season and for me LEE is THE GREATEST ARTIST of American Idol 2010. He has a intense vocal and no one can compete that. He’s got everything to seal the deal for RECORDS. WHATEVER I WILL BUY ALL HIS RECORDS. His got my money, that no “Sox” could convince me to change mind.
