2011 NBA All-Star Game
The Eastern starters are quite possibly the most impressive 5 to play on the same team in quite a while. At point guard you have Derrick Rose who’s leading the MVP race as he’s carried his injury prone Bulls team to near the top of the conference standings. Dwyane Wade is the best shooting guard in the game if it wasn’t for a certain guy named Kobe Bryant. LeBron James is the best basketball player on the planet and will likely finish his career as one of the top 3 to ever play the game. Amare Stoudemire was an early MVP candidate and still one of the most explosive power forward in the game. Dwight Howard is the best center in the game, and actually might be the real most valuable player in basketball.

The West is nothing short of scary either with Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant forming a back court that is hard to bet against. Then you have Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony who are two of the game’s premier scorers – something that becomes even more important in the Allstar game. Tim Duncan will be starting at center and the widely recognized ‘best power forward forward of all time’ should share his minutes with the Lakers’ Pau Gasol.
The East bench is dominated by the Celtics big four who are playing like the best team in basketball. They’re joined by Chris Bosh, Joe Johnson and Al Hordord. The West have some younger players coming off the bench with Blake Griffin, Kevin Love, and Russell Westbrook set to light up the scoreboard.
The East with the Miami and Boston players will most likely play hard and aim to steal the show with the 2011 NBA All Star Game taking place in Los Angeles.
The East should win this quite comfortable and Dwight Howard could end up walking away with the MVP trophy with no one on the opposing team really capable of guarding him.
