Day 2 Update: The first day didn’t see any major upsets but the second day sees some of the top players in the world taking court looking to capture a grand slam title. The two number one seeds Caroline Wozniacki and Rafael Nadal will be looking to prove they’ve deserve being ranked the top player in the tournament. Other big names such as Maria Sharapova, Jelena Jankovic, Vera Zvonareva, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Novak Djokovic, Mardy Fish, and James Blake will also play on Day 2 of the 2010 US Open Tennis tournament.

The 2010 US Open gets off to a start today at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows in New York today in what has become one of the highlights of the sporting calendar. The tournament will award the winner of the singles tournaments $1.5 million and as the last tournament of the year it will mark the final chance for the players to capture the glory of a grand slam title.
